TRUE ON-LINE PAYROLL PROCESSING
 Speed. Control. Flexibility. That’s what you’ll get when you go “on-line” with DM Payroll Services. Our on-line payroll option allows you, through a terminal at your location, to view and update payroll records. It’s fast, because you have direct, immediate access to our computer. By avoiding the middle step - transcription from you to us - you have complete control over record changes, enhancing accuracy. And you have the flexibility of access any time: our system is available around the clock, 7 days a week.
Full Functions: The on-line system lets you do anything we normally do for you. The Employee Masters function displays all employee master data on one screen, including YTD gross-to-net information. Use this screen to enter employee data changes.
We’ve set up the On-Line Transmittal screen just like the paper transmittal form. Here, enter your payroll adjustments. The computer checks gross-to-net and social security calculations; it will also check your payroll against control totals that you enter. Once you give the “OK” to process, the computer automatically runs the payroll. A hard copy audit trail accompanies your payroll delivery.
The Employee Earnings Record selection provides detailed gross-to-net, withholding, deduction, and time records by pay period for any employee. By entering either the employee’s number or name, you’ll retrieve the previous two years’ pay history.
Payroll Check Calculation lets you calculate gross-to-net figures for a manual check. The system takes into account the applicable tax rates and the employee’s current earnings, pay rate, exemptions and deductions to figure the net check.
Ease of Use: The on-line system is menu-driven, and lets you select actions by cursor or function key. The screens, designed to match the hard copy forms and reports you’re used to, are easy to read. Messages at the bottom of the screen provide assistance when needed.
Minimal Equipment, Maximum Security: On-line Payroll works through a video-display terminal and 9600-baud modem supplied by DM Payroll Services. The modem has a special, encrypted password that allows it to connect with our computer. Other modems will be unable to make contact. The system requires three further identification checks before you can gain access to data: a server password, your username and password, and your company number.
Cost Reduction: The best part is the money you can save. Because on-line users eliminate data entry on our side, we’ll give you a credit for each payroll check. There is no charge for your time on-line, other than your phone costs. The terminal and modem can be obtained through a one-time purchase or monthly rental.
