FMLA LEAVE

The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) gives many employees a specific right to take such a leave of absence without jeopardizing their jobs.  The law contains special employer coverage and employee eligibility requirements.  It specifies the events for which leave may be taken, as well as how long employees may take leave.  Employers are required to maintain specific records which track the amount of leave an employee takes on a daily basis.

To simplify this record keeping process, DM Payroll Services FMLA tracking program allows you to view an employee’s  leave history while tracking time by day, hour, type, and reason.  The system accommodates any 12 month period method (i.e., calendar, fixed, forward, rolling) you select and comments can be made for clarification.  You even have the ability to print the required certification and employee request forms (WH-380 and WH-381).  Even more convenient is the program’s integration with our  payroll system which links an employee’s vacation, sick, and/or any other leave time with FMLA time.
