TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT

The U.S. government has become a vital influence on training.  Through the enactment of the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act and other equal employment work force related legislation, the government has allocated large sums of money for the training of potential workers.  Due to this increasing pressure, more employers are developing in-house training programs.  Consequently, administrative functions are becoming more prevalent for employers.

DM Payroll Services has developed a system that tracks this employee development data on a company-wide and individual employee basis.  The system provides a means for analyzing employee training event types and dates, license and membership types, effective/expiration/renewal dates, company/employee paid fees.

EMPLOYEE EDUCATION

Because of organizational change and growth, employers must pay attention to developing employee skills.  Capable individuals must be available to fill new and bigger jobs.  Moreover, the contemporary concern for developing the full potential of all employees lies in education and training.  Consequently, more and more employers are developing education programs and providing tuition assistance. Administrative functions are becoming more prevalent for employers due to this changing trend.

DM Payroll Services has developed a system that tracks this employee education data on a company-wide and individual employee basis.  The system provides a means for analyzing school types; course names; credits/GPA earned; beginning and ending dates; degrees earned; skill types; company and employee paid fees, etc.

EMPLOYEE WORK HISTORY

Although there is more competition to identify and attract qualified workers, employers are also becoming concerned with the efficient use of resources.  Understanding an employee’s previous work history and skills assists employers with organizational cost-cutting measures through understanding which employees should perform specified tasks. Due to this employee skill analysis, employers are faced with time consuming administrative pressures.
