COMPUTER PROGRAMMING
Visual Basic Programmer – Intermediate and Advanced Positions
Candidates will be involved in all aspects of software development, GUI development, and implementation on client server architecture. The programming will be performed on a Windows 2000 Advanced Server operating system consisting of multiple servers in a cluster and network load-balancing environment. These operating systems are managed by Microsoft’s active directory infrastructures. Applications present information through the internet using programs written in Visual Basic accessing data via SQL 2000 from multiple disk farms. Individuals need to be motivated to work with the latest software technology on the latest hardware platforms.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (advanced degrees a plus)
* 2+ years extensive Visual Basic, SQL relational database work experience knowing how to access databases using ADO
* Strong knowledge of object oriented design and programming
* Experience in data modeling and database design
* Knowledge of using report engine tools such as Crystal Reports, ActiveX, etc.
* Network administration experience a plus
* Windows 2000 Advanced Server experience a plus
* Microsoft certification a plus
